  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Chilwell was one of the players who fell out of favour at Chelsea immediately after Enzo Maresca was appointed head coach last summer. The England international was advised by the new manager to find another club and was even banished from the squad.

  The 28-year-old has not been able to force his way back into the first team and has featured just once for the Blues this season – a 45-minute cameo against Barrow in the first round of the Carabao Cup. A January move seemed imminent, with Juventus reportedly interested, but the reports that his transfer options have dried up and he looks set to stay.
